Lakmini Wijesundera, an illustrious Sri Lankan technopreneur with an extensive track record spanning over two decades in spearheading global technology companies to achieve remarkable growth. In her role as the Executive Director at BoardPAC, Lakmini assumes a pivotal position overseeing the organization’s strategic expansion endeavors and investment strategies, contributing significantly to BoardPAC’s triumphant global outreach.

Lakmini’s remarkable journey in the tech industry has garnered her a plethora of prestigious accolades and industry recognitions. Notably, she achieved a groundbreaking milestone by becoming the first Sri Lankan to be honored as an Ernst & Young Entrepreneurial Winning Woman (EY EWW) in 2017. Her accomplishments also include clinching the coveted title of SAARC Woman Entrepreneur of the Year in 2019, as well as securing multiple Stevie leadership awards in 2018. She was crowned Female Exporter of the Year in 2017 by the National Chamber of Commerce (NCE) and bestowed with the Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2016. Lakmini’s accolades further extend to receiving the Exporter of the Year and Gold Award in the large category from the Women’s Chamber of Industry & Commerce. She has also been celebrated as the Women in Management IT Leader of the Year in 2016 and the Female ICT Leader of the Year in 2014, a prestigious recognition conferred by the Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL). In 2014, she was acknowledged as one of the 50 most powerful women in business by Echelon Magazine.

In addition to her role at BoardPAC, Lakmini holds the esteemed position of Chief Executive Officer at IronOne Technologies, an enterprise software and solutions company with a global footprint, boasting offices in both the USA and Sri Lanka.

Lakmini’s educational background mirrors her unwavering commitment to technology. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering and Computer Science from University College London, furthering her academic pursuits with a Master of Science degree from Imperial College, University of London. Lakmini Wijesundera stands as an exemplary figure, epitomizing the intersection of technology, entrepreneurship, and unwavering dedication to driving global innovation.
