Coca-Cola has made headlines with the appointment of Kaushali Kusumapala as the new Country Director for Sri Lanka and Maldives, marking a groundbreaking moment as the first Sri Lankan woman to assume this esteemed position.

Kaushali steps into the role succeeding former Country Director Pankaj Sinha, bringing with her a wealth of experience and a commitment to collaboration with various stakeholders across both countries, including bottling teams, customers, and partners.

Her journey to this leadership role is peppered with diverse experiences accumulated since 2009, spanning across renowned organizations such as Leo Burnett, Fonterra Dairy, and Domino’s Pizza. Notably, her tenure as Director of Marketing at Hemas International stands out, where she played a pivotal role in shaping market entry strategies and pioneering innovative marketing initiatives.

A graduate of the University of Melbourne, Kaushali is enthusiastic about her new role and is dedicated to working closely with Coca-Cola’s bottling partners and stakeholders to elevate consumer experiences.

Her unwavering commitment to excellence has earned her prestigious accolades, including the Slim Brand Excellence and SLIM Kantar People’s Awards, further solidifying her reputation as a leader in her field.

Kaushali Kusumapala’s appointment represents a significant milestone for Coca-Cola and underscores the company’s commitment to diversity and inclusion in leadership roles. It also serves as an inspiration for aspiring female leaders in Sri Lanka and Maldives and beyond.
