In their 50-minute conversation, Musk predicted that technology would render paid employment obsolete and cautioned about the emergence of humanoid robots capable of relentless pursuit. They also explored London’s status as a leading hub for the AI industry and the transformative potential of technology in education. However, the conversation delved into darker topics as Sunak acknowledged the concerns people have about job displacement, leading to an agreement on the necessity for a “referee” to oversee future supercomputers.
